Lagers

It turns out that the environment in the brewery is ideal for lagers during the winter months. The Federal Head and Eve have been struggling with temps in the room as I’ve been continuing to dial in temps for the room, enhance insulation, and calibrate the heaters. But they’re holding at the high end of ideal lager temps.

So, yesterday, I ordered ingredients for a Czech Pilsener and a Bavarian Dunkel. The pilsener will be either Post Tenebras Lux or simply Lux. The jury is still out on the Dunkel.

Tomorrow I hope to clean some lines and hook up the kegerator in full format. A few other miscellaneous tasks as well.

I need to re-invigorate the yeast on the two recent brews. And I need more carboys.
